Terms of Service

By creating a BandRaven account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use BandRaven.

The service

BandRaven is a personal music release tracker that aggregates new release information from Apple Music, Bandcamp, and Discogs into a single feed. It is operated by one person based in New Zealand. Release data is provided on a best-effort basis and depends on third-party APIs that may change or become unavailable.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Do not share your account.
• One account per person. Automated account creation is not permitted.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable use

You may use BandRaven for personal, non-commercial music tracking. You may not:

• Scrape, copy, or redistribute release data at scale.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.
• Use automated scripts or bots to trigger syncs or other requests.
• Attempt to access another user's data.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Subscriptions and billing

• The free tier provides limited access as described on the pricing page.
• BandRaven Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($6/month) or annual subscription ($60/year), billed via Stripe.
• Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout where supported, at the equivalent of the listed price. Depending on your location, local taxes (such as GST or VAT) may apply and will be shown before you confirm.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time in a period.
• If prices change, you will be notified before your next renewal.
• Discount codes are one-time-use and non-transferable.

Consumer Guarantees Act (New Zealand)

If you are a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), BandRaven supplies a service with reasonable care and skill. If you are acquiring the service for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act 1986 guarantees are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Your data

You own your library data (artists, labels, purchase list). BandRaven makes no claim of ownership over it. You can export or delete it at any time from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Intellectual property

The BandRaven name, logo, and software are owned by Brooke Whatnall. Release metadata (titles, artwork, dates) belongs to its respective rights holders; BandRaven surfaces it for personal reference only.

Availability

BandRaven is operated by a single developer on a best-effort basis. No uptime guarantee is given. Third-party data sources (Apple Music, Bandcamp, Discogs) may change their APIs, which could affect data accuracy or availability. We are not liable for any losses arising from service interruptions or data inaccuracies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, BandRaven and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including missed releases, incorrect data, or service downtime. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. BandRaven may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If an account is terminated for a material violation, any active subscription will be cancelled without refund.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
